![]() The recovery of the crown from the Alacran earns the Warrior of Light the attention of Nanamo and Raubahn, who name them envoy to Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa to organize a remembrance ceremony for the Battle of Carteneau. She comes under attack by Vodoriga and is saved by Thancred and the Warrior of Light before bring returned to the city under Sultansworn guard, apologetic for worrying them. When the Sultana's crown is stolen from a celebration, Nanamo disguises herself as a lower noblewoman named Lilira and flees her guard to pray beneath the Sultantree for forgiveness for her failure. This event finally convinced Nanamo that she did have some power to do good for Ul'dah, starting with seeing Mumuepo stripped of power and replaced as master of Arrzaneth Ossuary. Though she found only seven allies (Pipin, the Sultansworn Papashan, and five members of the guild), she was able to calm the masses with a passionate plea. Seeing the Thaumaturge guildmaster Mumuepo demanding that the looters be burned alive before they could make off with any relics, Nanamo was overcome with rage, finding the will to act. In the midst of her Vigil, Dalamud shattered and Bahamut was freed debris raining down upon the city inspired panic and chaos. As the battle raged onward with the purpose of protecting the Archon Louisoix while he attempted to summon the Twelve and return the lesser moon to the heavens, Thancred convinced Nanamo to make an appearance at Arrzaneth Ossuary to pray so that she might inspire the people to have hope, as well. When Raubahn led the Flames on their march to the Battle of Carteneau, Nanamo was overcome with loneliness and felt that she could not stand on her own, despite being attended by his adopted son, Pipin. Indeed, one of the few public appearances she made was at the very Coliseum match in which Raubahn won his seat on the Syndicate in 1570, where, overcome with excitement, Nanamo rushed into the ring to personally declare his ascendancy and accept his oath of service to her interests. Full BiographyĪs a child ruler wielding little power, Nanamo made few appearances prior to the Calamity, not even having a presence at Raubahn's speech commemorating the reformation of the Immortal Flames. Though she is the picture of propriety when sitting the throne, Nanamo is still a maiden of twenty-one years, and has a more playful side. When he joined the Syndicate, Raubahn made good on this promise, and remains entirely loyal to Nanamo. As his Coliseum winnings were conferred upon him, the Bull of Ala Mhigo swore an undying oath to serve as the sultana's sword. At the age of nine, she surprised the city-state by pardoning Raubahn Aldynn on a whim. Despite having ruled for more than a decade and a half, to this day, many dare to accuse her of being little more than a mammet mouthing the Syndicate's words. Naturally, none so young could fathom the intricacies of government, and the sultana was relegated to the role of royal puppet.
